Legal Outreach

The Release Legal Outreach Programme operates at a number of drug treatment centres throughout London

The purpose of this scheme is to provide accessible legal advice and assistance to clients of drug treatment services, with a view to reducing harm and improving their engagement, retention and success in treatment. Our main areas of practice are welfare benefits, debt and housing. We currently provide the service at the following centres:

• Westminster Drug Project (Westbourne Park)
• The Caravan Project (Paddington)
• DASH(Haringey)
• Rugby House (Fulham)
• Elizabeth Fry Centre (Hackney)

The Legal Outreach Programme has proven very successful in reaching people who might normally experience difficulty in accessing legal services. We will be looking to expand this service to other locations in the near future.
