Andy joined Release after working as a pro bono Spanish Language Interpreter for the BPP Legal Advice Clinic. Here, they supported cases dealing with vulnerable Latin American immigrants facing a variety of legal challenges including applications for asylum and Home Office appeals. Andy also worked in queer nightlife management where they developed harm reduction and advocacy skills with an outlook to create grassroots support networks for LGBTQ+ communities. Andy holds an LLM in Legal Practice from BPP University and a BA in Modern History from King’s College London.
As an immigrant from the Global South, their passion for helping individuals find dignity and safety within bureaucratic processes helps them create relationships of genuine trust with clients from all walks of life.
