Riley specialises in working with people who inject drugs, and has experience working in needle and syringe programmes in different settings, including within drug treatment services, homeless day centres, and for an LGBT charity providing NSP for gender-affirming care. She is dedicated to using her lived and professional experiences to support and advocate for people who use drugs, trade sex, and experience oppression in various forms. As someone with multiple long-term health conditions herself, Riley is passionate about supporting people with disabilities to navigate healthcare systems, particularly in cases where medication has been denied or removed due to drug use.
