Donate

Oh no not another donation request

If you are reading this then you may be considering a donation, or you have just landed on the wrong page but now you are here you are probably wondering how we use public donations. Or you may be in a rush, and just want to make a donation as quickly as possible. In this case the links and details for automated payments are directly below.

Online donations

The link below will take you to JustGiving which collects our online donations for us. You can make a single donation, or set up a monthly payment. We don't suggest minimum amounts for payments, as we are grateful to receive any amount. The system is pretty quick and requires the least amount of personal information.

Take me to Release's JustGiving page to donate while I'm still willing.

So, why should I donate you guys probably get loads of money from the Government?

We wish. You perhaps already know we are a registered charity, and that we provide specialised community services to individuals and their families experiencing drug issues (these services are funded locally). You have also possibly seen the numerous free publications we provide - some of them have been sponsored by grant making trusts. But many areas of Release remain unfunded such as our help & advice service, policy research & responses, and parts of our campaigns, so donations received help to prop these areas up.

What your money supports

Our help & advice service receives no funding but continues to provide many individuals with trusted non-judgmental information and assistance. For many people the service is a crucial lifeline. Our campaigns are designed to highlight the inequalities that exist and to protect the vulnerable and stigmatised that experience drug issues by challenging policies and opinions that oppress and harm them. Criminalising people reduces educational and employment opportunities and can marginalise them.

How much should I give?

Well for a start, we only ask for a donation if you can afford it and you want to help us. We are equally pleased whether we receive £1 or £100.

I love you guys how do I send you money?

We have tried to make the process for donating as simple as possible and with the least amount of personal information required. So, you use either of the methods mentioned above or the method mentioned below.

Please note we do not under any circumstances share your information with any agency or third party.

On behalf of our clients and everyone at Release we'd like to say a big thank you (even for just reading this page)!

Anonymous giving - if you would like to make an anonymous donation, please email Release's Executive Director.
